The treatment of the different waste that BCN Recicla! collect is different depending on the type of the material.

1. Print cartridges are selected and stored deppending if they are ink, toner, matrix cartridges or printer ribbons. Once separated, the empty cartridges has two different destinations:

• In the case the empty cartridge is reusable, we start the process of recycling: the cartridge is analyzed to see which parts are broken or worn to replace them if necessary. A comprehensive cleaning of the cartridge and its re-assembly is performed, and then it is refilled with the specific ink or toner. Finally, the cartridge is subjected to a quality test that will make it suitable for sale.

• Cartridges that can not be reused, are separated it by type of material: electrical, plastic, etc.. The parts that are profitable are stored for later use and the others are destroyed.

2. The obsolete computer equipment is collected mainly for its total destruction. we provide a destruction certificate to the customers if it's required. However there are some components that can be harnessed as a material of second hand: monitors, keyboards, etc..
3. Paper and cardboard. Paper and cardboard are two materials that can be recycled several times. The paper is converted to recycled paper and cardboard boxes. During the collection of confidential documents, the paper is completely destroyed.
4. Mobile phones. People often change the mobile phone, the consequence is that the amount of items that remain as residue are increasing every year. Mobile phones have different components for which it is not ecological throw them away, we should treat them properly or give them a new use.
